Essential Sounds: An Essential Oils Make & Take + Sound Bath

  • The Holistic Health Collective 3368 Beltline Court Grand Rapids, MI, 49525 United States (map)

$70

The natural healing powers of Essential Oils and sound healing combine for this all-inclusive, hands-on opportunity to make a variety of Essential Oils-based home and body cleansing products before relaxing during a restorative, 60-minute sound bath.

Essential Oils are the living fluid inside a plant that acts as its immune system. These fluids are the regenerating, oxygenating, and immune-strengthening properties of plants. When these fluids are distilled and extracted using a highly regulated, low-heat, slow-steam process and then used topically, aromatically, or ingested, they can help bring the vibrational energetic level lacking in our bodies back into balance. This is the same foundational principle of sound healing/sound baths - bringing the body, mind, and spirit back into vibrational alignment.

To begin the experience, Lisa Makowski - a registered nurse (RN) and owner of Diamond Hypnosis & Holistic Services - shares her 10+ years of experience distributing, blending, and applying Essential Oils to guide you step-by-step through making natural, toxin-free products rooted in Essential Oils blends. Different oils will be available to mix to create recipes that can be used for everyday household, cleaning, and personal use. During this experience, you’ll make and take the following items ($50 in retail value):

🧴 16oz all-purpose Thieves Immunity Boost concentrate in glass spray bottle (powerhouse non-toxic natural cleaner)

👚 1 set of 4 organic wool dryer balls + 8oz linen spray bottle (non-toxic replacement for laundry dryer sheets)

🏠 1 Multipurpose citrus sea salt room freshener/body spray 8oz glass bottle (natural, cleansing version of Febreeze/perfumes)

💧2 Essential Oils aromatherapy rollers (10ml in each roll-on; recipe options include Allergy Relief, Grounding & Balance, Happy Heart)

Following the make and take, Matty Makowski, a Rockford, MI-based, certified Sound Healing and Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Master Practitioner and owner of Matty Sunshine Sound Healing, guides guests on a 60-minute, deeply immersive, full-body, and grounding sound bath experience. During the sonic journey, Matty plays various instruments - including 8 crystal singing bowls, a Heng gong named Sunny, Tingsha cymbals, and more - that produce specific sounds, frequencies, and vibrations with the power to shift brainwaves into a deeply relaxed state. In this state, your nervous system can relax and release, allowing your natural healing abilities to work more effectively. This can help bring you back into vibrational alignment while balancing the mind, body, and spirit. Essentially, creating an opportunity for the body to do what it’s designed to do best - heal itself. A variety of pre-made Essential Oil roll-on blends will be available for guests to apply before the sound bath to help enhance their experience. Some of the potential benefits of attending sound baths in a single session or regularly over time include, but are not limited to:

- Stress reduction and anxiety relief

- Improved sleep quality

- Enhanced mental clarity and focus

- Deepened spiritual insights and connections

- Physical healing and pain relief (e.g., reduced inflammation and arthritis symptoms and increased digestion support)

- Emotional exploration and release of past traumas, grief, emotions, and/or negative energy
