UPCOMING EVENTS
Yoga Nidra + Sound Healing
During this Late Summer workshop, Sasha will be leading the Nidra practice around the theme of releasing + letting go. Kevin will provide an intentional sound journey to accompany the practice. Vibrational tones from brass bowls and other sound instruments gently support brainwave shifts into alpha and theta states — the same states accessed in deep meditation and early sleep — enhancing the restorative effects of Yoga Nidra. The soundscape is designed specifically for the body, mind, and spirit to become balanced and restored.

Essential Sounds: an Essential Oils Make & Take + Sound Bath Experience
The natural healing powers of Essential Oils and sound healing combine for this all-inclusive, hands-on opportunity to make a variety of Essential Oils-based bath/body products to keep for yourself or gift to others for the holiday season before relaxing during a soothing sound bath to help keep you balanced and aligned as we transition into a new year.
Essential Oils are the living fluid inside a plant that acts as its immune system. These fluids are the regenerating, oxygenating, and immune-strengthening properties of plants. When these fluids are distilled and extracted using a highly regulated, low-heat, slow-steam process and then used topically, aromatically, or internally, they can help bring the vibrational energetic level lacking in our bodies back into balance. This is the same foundational principle of sound healing/sound baths - bringing the body, mind, and spirit back into vibrational alignment.
To begin the experience, Lisa Makowski - a registered nurse (RN), Essential Oils distributor, and owner of Diamond Hypnosis & Holistic Services - shares her 10+ years of experience distributing, blending, and applying Essential Oils to guide you step-by-step through making natural, toxin-free products rooted in Essential Oils blends. Different oils will be mixed to create recipes that can be used for everyday needs/ailments, like Immunity, Breathe Right, Digestion, Sleepy Time, and Stress Away. During this experience, you’ll make and take:
4 rollers (10 ml in each roll-on)
3 shower steamers
2 mini bar soaps (2 oz each)
Following the make and take, Matty Makowski, a Rockford, MI-based, certified Sound Healing and Reiki Practitioner and owner of Matty Sunshine Sound Healing, guides guests on a 60-minute, deeply immersive, and full-body sound bath. During the sonic journey, Matty plays various instruments - including 8 crystal singing bowls, a Heng gong named Sunny, Tingsha cymbals, and more - that produce specific sounds, frequencies, and vibrations with the power to shift brainwaves into a deeply relaxed state. In this state, a person's innate healing abilities can work more effectively to bring them back into vibrational alignment while balancing the mind, body, and spirit. Essentially, creating an opportunity for the body to do what it’s designed to do - heal itself. A variety of pre-made Essential Oil roll-on blends will be available for guests to apply before the sound bath to help enhance their experience.

Vital Hands CPR
$80.
The Health & Safety Institute (HSI) Pediatric CPR, AED, and First Aid Blended-Learning course is designed for individuals who need or want certification in pediatric first aid, CPR, and AED—especially childcare providers, teachers, babysitters, and others who work with children. The course builds knowledge, hands-on skills, and confidence to respond to medical emergencies involving infants, children, and some adult situations. The training is delivered in a blended format consisting of an online portion and an in-person skills session. The online portion is self-paced and covers interactive modules, video segments, and essential knowledge content, which must be completed before attending the in-person session. The in-person session provides hands-on practice with an instructor, including demonstrations and skills practice on manikins and AED trainers. Course topics include scene safety, assessment, infection control, CPR for infants, children, and adults, use of an AED, relief of choking, and first aid skills such as bleeding control, bandaging, treating injuries, medical emergencies, and the use of epinephrine auto-injectors. Upon successful completion of both parts of the course, participants receive a certification card valid for two years. Completion of both the online and hands-on sessions is required, as online training alone is not sufficient. The course emphasizes proper instructor-to-student ratios and the use of appropriate training equipment to ensure effective skill practice.
